All the content and photos on our site belong to Secret Flowers, unless stated otherwise. Please don’t use our photos without our permission. We use external sources for our gift card designs, and you can find the credits to the author on our website.

The colors of our products in photos are as close as possible to the real thing, but there might be slight variations due to natural factors. Flowers are unique, so expect some differences in color and shape.

If there’s any issue regarding your order or our products, English law will apply, and the English courts will have jurisdiction.

When you place an order, you agree to receive communications from Secret Flowers. If you don’t want to receive them, you can unsubscribe or contact our customer service.


We might change some of the contents or packaging of our products without notice to provide something of equal or greater value. Our products are subject to availability, and sometimes flowers may be delivered in bud for a longer life.

Some bouquet contents may be harmful if eaten or cause skin irritation, so if you’re unsure, reach out to us before placing your order.

Our roses are shipped with protective guard petals, which you can remove upon receipt.

Lilies, especially Easter Lilies, Tiger Lilies, Rubrum Lilies, and Japanese Show Lilies, are toxic to cats. Please take caution if you have pets.


We charge a standard flower delivery fee starting from R80.00 for deliveries on mainland SA, unless otherwise stated. Delivery prices may vary for different products.

Orders & Payments

To process your order and ensure timely delivery, provide us with all the recipient’s details. By placing an order, you confirm that you’re at least 16 years old. If you’re buying alcohol, you must be over 18.

We’ll only process your order once we have full payment details. Your order will be confirmed via email, and you’ll receive an order reference number.

Payment can be made using various methods, and your card will be charged when you place the order. If your card is declined, we’ll try to contact you for an alternative payment method.

Prices displayed on our website include VAT, but in rare cases of errors, we’ll correct them and confirm with you before proceeding.

Due to the perishable nature of our products, there are restrictions on certain postcodes where we can’t deliver.

Your membership lasts for six months from the date of purchase and automatically renews unless canceled. For a fee of R299.00, you can enjoy perks like ‘Free Standard Tracked Delivery’ on flower bouquets and plants at appleyardflowers.com. Please note that free delivery cannot be used for Flower Subscriptions, Personalized Gifts, Hampers & Alcohol. During the one-month period, free delivery is unlimited and can be used for any flower or plant purchase.

If you wish to cancel your Secret Flowers membership within 14 days of purchase, you’ll receive a full refund as long as you haven’t used any of the benefits. To cancel, simply contact our Customer Services team, and we’ll process your request within 14 days. Each customer is limited to one membership, and it’s for personal use only. In exceptional circumstances or during high demand, we reserve the right to adjust your delivery service to ensure your order arrives on time.

We may make temporary changes to Secret Flowers during peak periods, but rest assured, your service will return to normal as soon as possible. However, we reserve the right to terminate your Secret Flowers account if we suspect any fraudulent activity or breach of terms and conditions. Please note that Secret Flowers is not currently available for Appleyard Corporate customers, but all general Secret Flowers terms and conditions still apply.


If you sign up for our subscription service, Secret Flowers and its partners will charge your chosen payment method at regular intervals for the agreed-upon products or services. We’ll bill you according to the schedule outlined on our website, which may vary to accommodate holidays or other irregularities. If your payment method fails for any reason, we won’t continue delivering products or renew your subscription, although we may contact you to inform you of the issue.

We reserve the right to adjust subscription prices at any time, as we see fit. You can cancel your subscription at any time by filling out a contact form on our website and selecting the appropriate options. We’ll process your cancellation within a reasonable time frame.

Returns & Replacements

If you need to return or replace an item, here’s what you should know:

For fresh flowers, you can cancel or make changes up to 48 hours before delivery. However, during busy times, like holidays, changes might not be possible if the order has already been processed, which usually happens up to 4 days in advance.

Because our products are perishable, it’s best to let us know about any issues within 2 working days of delivery. We guarantee freshness for seven days from the delivery date.

If any flowers arrive damaged, wilted, or if there are any other issues within this seven-day period, you can redeem our 100% happiness guarantee.

Please note that flowers and plants can only be returned if they’re found to be faulty. However, your statutory rights are not affected.

For personalized jewelry, due to its personalized nature, we can’t accept returns for unwanted goods. But if a product is damaged or faulty, you can return it within 14 days of receipt.

Cancellations By You

For most items, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods. However, this doesn’t apply to certain items that are personalized or customized for you, or perishable goods.

Cancellations for flowers and plants are accepted if received 3 hours before the requested delivery date. Orders placed or canceled on Saturdays, Sundays, or Bank Holidays will be treated as received on the following working day. Due to the nature of flowers, they are non-returnable.

In case of supply difficulties, we may substitute flowers or packaging of equal quality and value. For personalized gifts, cancellations can only be made before production. Once personalized, orders cannot be canceled.

Cancellations by Us

If we need to cancel your order because we don’t have enough stock or if there was a mistake in the pricing, we’ll let you know by email. We’ll refund any money you’ve paid. We’re sorry if this causes any inconvenience. We understand this might be disappointing, and we won’t be able to offer compensation for any inconvenience caused.
